Professor Jorge Villamor Tigno is currently the Chairperson of the Department of Political Science and Secretary-General of the Philippine Migration Research Network (PMRN). 

He has a doctorate in public administration from the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG). Asian labor migration and comparative immigration policies; democratic consolidation and transitions in Southeast Asia; non-governmental organizations and state-civil society relations in the Philippines; and electoral and political reforms in developing states.
