Clarissa C. David is a Professor at the College of Mass Communication and a Fellow of Social Weather Station, Inc. Her areas of research in politics and elections centers on public opinion and its relationship with news and other forms of media content.
Although elections are an important part of the Philippine political landscape, Clarissa's research extends beyond elections and onto policy, in understanding the role of news and media in policy debates.
She was recently named among the Outstanding Young Scientists of the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) for her work in the area of news framing.
